New Clients Requests

Hello, I'm grateful for your interest in my psychotherapy services.

Important Update:

I'm currently unable to accept new clients. I understand how crucial it is to find the right therapist, and I apologize if this causes any inconvenience.

A Few Potential Options:

While I can't accept new clients at the moment, here's what you can do:

1. Explore Other Resources

Consider exploring valuable resources to help you find the support you need, here are a few:

  • LGBTQ Guild of Utah: If you're part of the LGBTQ+ community or seeking LGBTQ+ affirming therapy, the LGBTQ Guild of Utah can be a fantastic resource for finding therapists who specialize in LGBTQ+ issues.

  • Psychology Today: Psychology Today is a platform where you can search for therapists in your area. You can filter results based on your preferences and needs.

  • Alma: Alma is another platform that connects clients with therapists, including those with expertise in various areas of mental health. You might find a therapist that meets your needs through Alma.

2. Check Back on My Website:

Please feel free to return to my website regularly. Any updates regarding new client appointment availability will be posted on the blue banner at the top of the homepage. When I am able to accept new clients, a 15-minute consultation may be requested by clicking on the "Request Appointment.”

Wait List:

I do not maintain a waitlist.

Immediate Support Resources:

If you or someone you know is going through a crisis or is experiencing a mental health related emergency, here are some resources to consider:

  • National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: 988

  • UNI CrisisLine: (801) 587-3000

Thank You for Your Understanding:

I appreciate your understanding and patience during this time. Providing the best care to my clients is of utmost importance to me, and ensuring they receive the attention and support they need is my top priority.

I'm committed to helping as many people as possible, and I genuinely look forward to the possibility of working with you in the future. Until then, please take good care of your mental health and well-being.

Warmly,

Cody Merrell, LCSW
